Wanda Harding Photography Newsletter March 3, 2004 Two updates this newsletter: 1) My photos are back online! My website was down for about two weeks because my previous hosting company shut down their servers and disappeared in the dead of night. I would have very much appreciated an email recommending I backup my website. Of course, I should’ve known to keep a current backup of my website on my own computer or cd or zip drive. I trusted that the hosting company, which had been in business for seven years (an eternity in the hosting business), would continue to stay in business. I also trusted that they would do recoverable backups. I should’ve known better. As the Lyle Lovett song says “It’s the process of learning to excess all of the things that you already know.” So to all of you with websites, here is a friendly reminder – Keep your own backups. Anyway, I am happy to have my photography website back online. I hope you check it out at www.wh-photography.com. 2) I’ve added new flower photographs in the Abstract Flower section. I’ve added some macro photos of a hibiscus and a stargazer lily. These were taken indoors and have a different feel that the wildflower aster photos I took last fall. The new images are about line, curve and edges. Plus one shot of a strong yet tender stamen. Take a look at: http://www.wh-photography.com/Flower_Abstracts/index.htm. Cheers, Wanda
